Offer DescriptionA postdoctoral position is available to develop interdisciplinary experimental project to study division in hematopoiesis, CAR-T therapy or other immunological processes using a new method to count division in vivo. The lab is looking for a person interested in developing a new method to count division in vivo and apply it to different biological questions, which include:
  • Role of division in hematopoiesis to produce immune and blood cells.
  • Role of division in emergency myelopoiesis.
  • Impact of treatment like CAR-T on leukemic cell division.
  • Push the technology for single cell and spatial omics.
We have an active collaboration with the lab of Ken Duffy, Boston for the mathematical part of the project. The candidate will have freedom to shape their own problems. This position is primarily for wet lab but there will be strong interactions with theoreticians as any projects from our lab.In this project, the candidate will further develop the new method from the lab to count division and developed its own experimental project to make biological discovery on cell dynamics. We offer a highly interdisciplinary and international work environment at Physics of Cells and Cancer, UMR168, hosting experimental and theoretical biologists and physicist, at the heart of academically rich neighborhood of Quartier Latin in Paris.RequirementsResearch Field Biological sciences Education Level PhD or equivalentResearch Field Biological sciences Education Level PhD or equivalentLanguages FRENCH Level BasicResearch Field Biological sciences Years of Research Experience NoneResearch Field Biological sciences » Biology Years of Research Experience NoneAdditional InformationEligibility criteriaConfirmed skills in flow cytometry, cell culture, mouse experiments (handling, intra-venous injection, organ recovery).
