Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant at a school in Great Barr, The school will require you to support a student with Autism and low ability.
A successful Teaching Assistant will have good experience working with students with Autism and must be confident in supporting on a 1:1 inside and outside of a classroom setting.
CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
· Location – Great Barr
· Position – SEN Teaching Assistant
· Type of work – 1:1
· Start date – 7th May 2024
· Contract type – Temp to Perm
· Monday – Friday 8.30am -1pmEXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent is preferred
· Previous experience working in a UK school or alternative provision
· Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential)
· Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential)
· Up to date FGM & Behaviour management training (essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
· Hold Right to Work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child and adult barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child related references
