As part of a larger cohort of Engineering talent, the Senior Process Engineer will work collaboratively across a diverse group of people to develop stable and reliable manufacturing processes, support supply chain or manufacturing improvement projects and ensure that Cochlear continues to have the capabilities to manufacture increasing volumes.Responsibilities include:Support Global Supply Chain and R&D project execution by developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable, and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network for new and commercially already available product.Accountable and works on validation and verification activities for new product launchesEnsurs that the business needs are met and project are delivered on time and on cost.Provides frequent updates on project progress to reporting manager and relevant stakeholders.Understands COGs calculations to derive manufacturing cost regards to new products.Internal and external stakeholder management with project plans/timeline/risk/challenges.Ensure that manufacturing processes and associated documents comply with Cochlear QMS and international regulation (e.g. WI, PFMEA).Responsible for meeting the manufacturing strategy by relocating/ duplicating processes across the manufacturing network.Responsible for meeting the supply chain strategy though projects and influence project accordingly.Ensure that the business needs are met and project are delivered on time and on costReview PIP process as needed to improve compliance and project/launch outcome.Ensure the development and introduction of manufacturing technologies is aligned with Cochlear long-term strategySet team development strategy and budget resources to deliver against Product and services and manufacturing plan.About You. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:Tertiary qualifications in Electronics/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent, ideally with demonstrated experience in a similar process development engineering role within a highly regulated industry (Medical Device and/or Electronics Manufacturing industry experience preferred).An engineering professional who applies scientific & engineering knowledge, mathematics & statistical ingenuity to complete projects.Demonstrable basic technical expertise on process/product technologies to support design, optimisation, validation and troubleshooting of emergent issues that arise within those technologies.Cochlear Malaysia provides shared services to support Cochlear’s global operations.
