Description:They make separating equipment for a variety of industries. They are currently looking for a Electrical/Controls Engineer/Technician to join their team. This position will manage the majority of troubleshooting help, upgrade requests, and other miscellaneous needs of our existing (aftermarket) customers. The most important requirements for this role are strong troubleshooting skills (wiring and programming) and excellent customer service and communication. This job will someone to expand their knowledge of electrical design and controls programming by working with several different PLC, HMI, and VFD manufacturers.ELECTRICAL:- Literacy of electrical schematics in CAD for troubleshooting control panel, ancillary equipment, field, and machine wiring, with occasional light designs for panel upgrades- Assist customers and technicians in the field for all electrical requests- Commissioning onsite of upgraded lubrication systems, new control panels, and added on machine componentsSOFTWARE:- CAD for updating existing electrical schematics after changes onsite- Rockwell RSLogix500 for SLC PLCs & RSLogix5000/Studio5000 for Compact and ControlLogix PLCs, FactoryTalk for PV HMIs, Siemens Step7 and WinCC for troubleshooting and updating PLC and HMI programsSkills:PLC, HMI, Allen-Bradley, AB, Siemens, AutoCAD, Electrical Schematic, Controls, Automation, Rockwell, rs logic, Electrical Design, Studio 500, Studio 5000Additional Skills & Qualifications:MUSTS:- 5+ years of experience working with controls and automation- Familiarity with PLC and HMI software and hardware (Allen Bradley or Siemens)- Experience with RSLogix 500 software- PLC/HMI/Control Panel Troubleshooting experience- AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or Engineering Base- Familiarity with electrical CAD software- Willingness to travel up to 40%PLUS:- 10+ years of experience working with controls and automation- IP Networking/Ethernet knowledgeExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
