This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an
organization or functional area. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged
course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the
consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Scope
This position supports staff within the Human Resources department providing information to
applicants and employees, maintaining records, completing assigned projects and tasks and resolving a
broad variety of employee issues. This role is typically responsible for assignments normally limited to
no more than two Human Resource disciplines
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate priorities and execute tasks accordingly in a changing environment while escalating
- May act as a team member or committee member for a Fluor sponsored group or portfolio
- Provide support and perform routine tasks associated with less complex Human Resource
- Answer customer questions and follow up on any related tasks
- Coordinate and/or complete Human Resource administrative documents
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely
- Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
- May need to travel to attend to business related matters
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2)
experience equal to six (6) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or
different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in HR, Psychology, Education, Business,
- Understand main Human Resource concepts, policies, and administrative procedures
- Good knowledge of Human Resource policies and procedures
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills of a complex nature
- Demonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information
- Experience providing consultation to managers and HR staff
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email,
- Broad knowledge of internal database applications for designated discipline
- Knowledge of cultures and cross-cultural collaboration

seeking input as appropriate from managers
- Assist with routine investigations in response to employee complaints, preparing proper
- Assist with the design of ER and HRC training programs

- Use HR Data Management applications to resolve complex questions and problems
- Provide assistance to resolve questions on a broad variety of programs and procedures
- Calculate accrual rates/leave balances of employees
- Perform basic system updates and data inputs
- Prepare statistical summaries and complex reports from HRIS
- Responsible for daily administration for a single complex function within Mobility Services such
support coordination, assignment costing, cost calculation, etc., or for handling more than one
function
- Support domestic and international policy team in developing and maintaining mobility policies
- Support domestic and international policy team in developing mobility assignment provisions
- Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with hiring manager and their support
- Partner with hiring managers to identify and sources qualified applicants for open positions;
- Participate with the hiring team to make employment recommendations based on information
- At the request of the hiring manager help to create and place employment ads in on-line venues
- Maintain general knowledge of applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Maintain requisition, resumes and reports in ATS, prescreen and submit qualified candidates
the ATS, monitoring the approval cycle
- Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used for screening and evaluation
- Select applicants meeting specified job requirements and refer them to hiring personnel
- Inform job applicants of their offer or rejection of employment
- Manage and/or attend career fairs and recruiting events
