About the roleOur work matters to millions. It'll matter to you too.Join our Major Projects team as a Buyer on the Rolls Royce project and you'll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied and meaningful work!What you'll be doingAs a Buyer you will be responsible for:
  • Fulfilling requisitions on behalf of the business
  • Ensuring internal spend compliance
  • Sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations
  • Conducting tender processes
  • Supporting Senior Buyer in the procurement of Subcontract Packages
  • Supplier meetings and engagement
  • Creation of Supply Chain Strategies
  • Management of Procurement Schedules
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Identifying key trends or opportunities for cost reduction
  • Negotiating discounts and savings & ensuring accurate reporting of such along with value add activities
  • Supplier performance management
  • Ensuring adherence to procurement processes and procedures
Who we're looking forThe following skills and experience are required:
  • Previous experience within a Procurement role
  • Highly results orientated (proven ability to complete tasks efficiently and promptly, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates negotiation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Problem solving skills, ability to use own initiative to identify areas of improvement & propose solutions.
  • Knowledge of Subcontract Procurement Process (desired)
  • Ability to achieve security clearances including BPSS and SC.
