Tasks include requirement development, test procedure development, document verification, lab testing, on-aircraft testing, requirement tracing, coordination with interfacing systems, and certification support.Position Responsibilities:Work with the Supplier and Boeing engineers to design, develop and certify the Display system applications such as Primary Flight Display (PFD), Navigation Display (ND), Engine Indication, Synoptics and Maintenance pages, Head Up Display (HUD), EICAS message and Electronic Checklist.Develops and documents electronic and electrical system requirements.Designs hardware, software and interface specifications.Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.Reviews supplier documentation to ensure thorough verification and validation.Develops design assurance and certification documentation.Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.Work Authorization:The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.This position allows partial telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Everett, WA.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering discipline.3 or more years of experience in engineering.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):ABET Accreditation is preferred.Experience in Displays development.Experience working in development programs and developing avionics system requirements.Experience as a technical lead.5 or more years of systems/ avionics engineering.1 or more years of experience working with multiple internal or external stakeholders (i.e. business partner, customer, Finance, suppliers) in planning and executing projects.Typical Education and Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master +3 years' related work experience).
