- You will act as senior partner and advisor in front of senior management, internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies,
- You will be the spoke person for on/off site inspections, thematic reviews, deep dives and operational letters
- You will monitor upcoming regulations, co-ordinate process of selecting regulations relevant to ING LUX, setting up projects to implement them, plan, monitor and steer implementation, ensure post-implementation handover, training and control of operation effectiveness; handle / co-ordinate remediation of regulatory backlog
- You will manage relationships with strategic internal clients and act as a business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and mobilizing appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans
- You wil develop and improve relationships with Board members, identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges
- You will ensure that business activities within the area of responsibility comply with relevant external regulatory and/or voluntary codes and with internal policies and procedures to minimize business risk and to protect the reputation of the organization
- You will support supervisors on-site and visits, initiate and coordinate the delivery ad-hoc data requests and keep oversight of interaction of ING entities with ECB and DNB
- You will monitor ING’s follow-up on supervisors requirements, recommendations and supervisory expectations
- You will have the responsibility and the overview of all regulatory reporting across the organization and ensure they are timely addressed
- You will coordinate ING’s activities in the context of the annual SREP process with Belgium
- You will report to and advise Board of Directors, Audit & Risk Committees, Executive Committee and senior management regarding supervision through a specific dashboard.
- You will actively participate in Luxembourg industry associations (ABBL, ALFI) forums focussing on supervision and share insights with management
- You will co-ordinate and supervise FAP processes
- You will monitor projects are prepared, approved, budgeted and executed end to end by the various departments involved to ensure compliance in due time with new regulations
- A minimum of 10-15 years as a manager, senior member of an organization in a highly regulated environment
- Ability to stay up-to date and on top of strategic and regulatory developments
- Experienced in successfully working and influencing across functions, motivating teams and individuals to deliver on time and scope without having direct managerial oversight
- Proficient understanding of banking and bank processes, including identifying and evaluating key risks and solutions
- Proven stakeholder management and proficient communication skills
- Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers
- Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve
