Home Health - Physical Therapy AssistantCome home to support. Come home to team. Come home to flexibility to have a life outside of work. Come home to Haven.As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the physical therapist in providing quality care to patients. Your responsibilities will include implementing treatment plans, assisting patients with exercises, monitoring progress, and educating patients on proper techniques. Two years experience in the medical field is required, experience in home health is preferred. Proficiency in computer skills and technology for documentation is also desirable. Strong patient care skills, excellent communication abilities, and great customer services skills are also essential for success.Responsibilities:
- Implement an individualized plan of care under the supervision of a PT and in consultation with the physician and other agency personnel as appropriate.
- Initiate appropriate preventive and rehabilitative physical therapy procedures.
- Teach clients, family members, and significant others health care self-management skills, accurately assess clients’ physical and emotional status, and perform services in compliance with physician orders.
- Current Missouri PTA license in good standing.
- Minimum of two years experience in medical field (home health is a plus)
- Proficient in computer skills and technology to complete documentation of clinical record.
- Great communication skills and interpersonal skills.
