- Conduct research activities to identify integrated system and propulsion technologies for generic aircraft applications
- Lead and execute projects with system suppliers aiming at know-how build-up and understanding of system performance, limitations, and adequacy for Pilatus aircrafts
- Collaborate with internal product development teams to identify future challenges and needs
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and suppliers, as well as regulatory requirements related to aerospace systems and propulsion
- Propose developments, project plans, collaborations and technical documentation related to aircraft systems and propulsion projects
- Engage in national and international public funding programmes to foster academic/industrial knowledge transfer
- MSc degree from a recognised university in a relevant engineering or science discipline
- Experience of 5 to 10 years in systems and propulsion of aircraft, their design, analysis and optimisation
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and German
- Internationally networked in the aerospace industry
- Knowledge of Swiss and international academic landscapes and associated public collaborative funding mechanisms is an advantage
- Self-propelled personality, eager to advance own projects, propose pragmatic solutions and achieve results
