The Client Experience team encompasses Brand, Marketing, Client Insights, Digital Channels and Client Reporting and are responsible for driving the client agenda forward for Private Bank and Wealth Management through multiple strategic initiatives. Within Client Experience, the Marketing & Communications team is responsible for using client, competitor and business insight to set brand vision and strategy, and to deliver upon that strategy by delivering data-driven advertising, sponsorships, partnerships and content to our client base.Overall purpose of roleThis role works across the Private Bank and Wealth Management business delivering a diverse portfolio of brand partnerships and events from conferences, investment outlooks, roundtable dinners and UHNW lifestyle offerings. * You will partner with the Switzerland Private Bank business to develop, manage and execute a diverse range of face to face and virtual events / brand experiences to the highest standard through excellent organisational skills, innovation and creativity.
  • Ensure activity is aligned with and deliver commercial and client outcomes, adhere to firm-wide policies and procedures, marketing/communications strategies and our corporate narrative.
Key Accountabilities.
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager for Switzerland on the execution of the marketing strategy for Switzerland.
  • Support the design and execution of assigned business area annual event plans (outside of Group Events scope).
  • Speaker and host management including agenda design, speaker research and recommendations, collation of presentations, speaker briefings and management of any requirements
  • Management of client distribution lists to ensure seamless delivery of local marketing and events activity
  • Prepare event collateral including invitations and detailed on-site schedules
  • Prepare post-event evaluations/surveys as required and post-event debrief meetings
  • Anticipate staffing requirements on-site to secure additional resources in advance
  • Accountable for accuracy of all communications and reports
  • Manage ad-hoc projects on behalf of the team (e.g. Delegate Management System, Data Privacy, Reporting, Preferred Supplier List)
  • Follow all internal processes including our health and safety risk assessment procedures for all events and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure effective cost management and control of budget.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership
  • Work as a partner with internal hosts to recommend, review and advise on their detailed event requirements and maintain constant communication throughout the planning and execution process to ensure business goals and objectives are achieved
  • Assist in monitoring guest lists on various events and providing feedback on the actual clients that attended
  • Market Barclays sponsorships and hospitality opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to be impactful to stakeholders and influence
  • Seasoned influencer with strong negotiation skills
  • Identifies and builds partnerships with clients and stakeholders. Ensures a 'one Barclays' approach
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with our preferred suppliers
  • Understanding of our competitors, and keeping abreast of trends and market activity.
Risk and Control ObjectiveEnsure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy StandardsPerson Specification
  • Proven track record of designing, executing and measuring impact of events targeted to HNW / UHNW client base.
  • Strong knowledge of private banking and investment management products and solutions, able to hold their own and challenge in a constructive manner key stakeholders
  • Able to navigate the complexities of working in a regulated industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to demonstrate event objectives/trends
  • Proficient in Microsoft skills (PPT, Word, Excel)
  • Aptitude and ability to navigate using different event management technology systems
(OneEvent; iPlanner: AIP; SAP; eTouches; iConference)Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
  • Candidate will come from an investment management, asset management or private banking background.
  • Will have a proven track record of delivering events globally.
