Job DescriptionBusiness Development Account ManagerNorthampton£24,000 - £30,000 - Depending on ExperienceOur market leading client within the construction and build sector are currently seeking a Business Development Account Manager to join their growing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to develop a career within sales, account management and service.On a daily basis, the successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of existing customers to conduct, report and deliver on their specific projects. This will involve speaking with prospective clients, completing marketing and telephone-based tasks as well as administrative duties, while continuously building positive client relationships. Please note, although this is a telephone-based role, this is not a call-centre based role and does not involve high targets or high call volumes.Please note, our client will consider entry level candidates and individuals from a different employment background as they offer extensive training and development opportunities.Due to location, it is preferable that any applicants drive and have access to their own vehicle.Key Duties:
  • To professionally, effectively & efficiently deliver our service on behalf of the client(s) in accordance with the project brief and the subsequent strategy agreed on a telephone basis.
  • To develop and maintain a complete understanding of client's background, products & services, target market sectors, competition, culture & values and internal structure.
  • Develop and nurture a professional relationship with the client(s)
  • Complete accurate administration duties ensuring all information is inputted and organised as required.
  • To complete quality outbound calls to specific prospects on behalf of clients with a view to identifying or creating new business opportunities (this is all Business to Business) and arranging meetings between our clients and the prospect to discuss the opportunity in more detail.
  • Working from our best-in-class database and data.
  • Assisting with the preparation of and attending review meetings with the client Ongoing development of telephone sales and other business development related skills.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Although there is no set experience required for this role, our client is seeking an individual with a genuine interest in learning and developing within a telephone-based role, with a strong business acumen and positive work ethic.
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
  • IT Literacy with the ability to complete a short typing test based on speed and accuracy.
  • A successful candidate with have a strong work ethic and desire to learn and develop within sales.
  • Experience within sales is not essential, however, experience within a customer service role is desired.
  • Please note, due to location, it is preferable that you can drive with access to your own vehicle, however, if you are accessible via public transport or pre-arranged transport, this is also accepted.
