- Leading and managing a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Overseeing the design and development of gas systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project managers, sales teams, and customers, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of engineering activities with project objectives.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in gas engineering.
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing appropriate mitigation measures to ensure the safety and reliability of gas systems.
- Reviewing and approving engineering designs, drawings, and documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Providing technical support and guidance to the sales team during the pre-sales phase, including technical proposals, feasibility studies, and cost estimation.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements and trends in gas engineering, and implementing innovative practices to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in engineering management, preferably in the gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of gas systems design, construction, and commissioning.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Sound knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to gas engineering.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming engineering challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional engineering certification or membership is preferred.
- Previous experience in the energy or power industry is a plus.
