- Comprehensive Supply Chain Strategies:
- Develop and implement robust supply chain strategies that optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality across the organization.
- Foster innovation and continuous improvement to enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Advocate for supply chain excellence by partnering closely with BBG sales and operations executives focusing on improving customer service and reducing out of stocks.
- Develop and capture industry competitive and outside industry best practices.
- Maintain the delicate balance between operational excellence and strategic vision.
- Advanced Demand Planning and Forecasting:
- Lead the design and implement cutting-edge processes and supply chain management tools/technology.
- Fully deploy Demand Planning and processes throughout the markets/organization.
- Forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Strategic Supplier Collaboration - Lead and strengthen our collaboration and processes through:
- Information Sharing: Sharing demand forecasts, production plans, inventory levels, and other critical data.
- Developing Long-Term Relationships: Building long-term relationships and trust, commitment, and mutual understanding with strategic suppliers.
- Integration of Processes: Aligning and integrating key supply chain processes to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
- Leverage Technology: Leveraging Blue Ridge and API’s through SAP to drive further collaboration and visibility to data.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team.
- Encourage innovation, professional development, and collaboration to achieve strategic goals.
- Risk Management and Contingency Planning:
- Coordinate risk management efforts across the supply chain.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions, shortages, or unforeseen challenges.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience
- Proven track record of reducing costs, improving efficiencies, and driving supply chain excellence.
- Expertise in strategic planning, market trends, and negotiation skills.
- Technological savviness and familiarity with supply chain management tools.
- Advanced PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Demonstrated innovative leadership and change management
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Master’s degree
- Experience in and in-depth knowledge of Beverage Alcohol Distribution
- Skills to influence and demonstrated track record of strong collaboration
- Understanding of supply chain and its’ impact on company financials
- Experience leading and developing a high performing team
- Demonstrated management experience leading a department through collaboration with critical suppliers and internal colleagues alike in distribution environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
- Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications, where sufficient information may not be available.
- People management responsibility for pay reviews, performance management, training, and resource planning.
