- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies for students with SEN.
- Support the classroom teacher in differentiating lessons and adapting materials to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to assess students’ needs and contribute to the development of personalized learning strategies.
- Relevant experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable.
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents/carers.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- An understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
- Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday to Friday during school hours.
