Mandatory Skill-set Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; Hands on technical experience in developing and administrating databases; Proficient with SQL; Hands on experience with database management system such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.; Proven experience in data modelling and database design; Familiar with ETL tools and processes; Has knowledge in database performance tuning and optimization, and data warehousing concepts; Strong problem solving skills; Independent, yet a good team player; Able to collaborate with stakeholders from various departments; Excellent communication skills. Desired Skill-set Experience in developing and/or supporting .NET applications; Prior experience in banking / insurance industry. Responsibilities Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, triggers and stored procedures; Develop and optimize SQL queries to ensure high performance and efficiency; Develop and maintain ETL processes; Ensure data integrity, security and availability; Maintain and improve existing database structures and processes; Implement data integration solutions to synchronize data across different systems; Monitor database performance and implement solutions to fix issues; Prepare and maintain documentation for database systems and processes; Provide technical support for .NET applications with focus on SQL Server database; Collaborate with development team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues; Log, track and manage support incidents using a ticketing system; Work closely with development, testing and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth application deployment and operation; Actively involve in recommending improvements for applications and support processes; Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and perform knowledge transfer to the team accordingly.
