- Write, enforce, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Fresh Market operations such as product handling, receiving, purchasing, and more
- Leads the ongoing development of Eataly's store layout standardization to maximize revenue and efficiency
- Monitors sales and retail teams for all Eataly North America locations and develops strategies to ensure results are met (KPIs, reporting development, weekly call set up)
- Conduct store visits and lead weekly calls to review KPIs and ensure store teams are in line with business needs and objectives
- Lead the set up and training of the Fresh Market departments during new store openings
- Support the hiring, training, motivation, and evaluation of store managers and leads
- Influences and guides Fresh Market operations by developing a strong relationship with the managers and leads in North America stores
- Collaborates with counterparts on Grocery Operations, both at Corporate and Store level, to maximize cross-merchandising and promotional opportunities
- Analyzes category trends and competitive concerns; including competitor's pricing, assortment and consumer trends
- Supports and positively influences Fresh Market financial goals, product mix, business relationships and innovation needs
- Assists product team with the selection of fresh items and products as needed
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field preferred
- 4 + years of retail food management experience
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with experience using data to influence business decisions
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication, motivation, and team-building skills
- Back of house or food production experience a plus
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to North America locations
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
