- Develop a medium to long term HR plan, integrating the people and organizational priorities of the business area with agreed business goals
- Liaise closely with the business throughout the planning process, and provides support for enhancing business activities
- Act as an enabler to building a robust resource planning and succession strategy
- Provide a source of challenge, advice and coaching to line management colleagues to deliver on going improvements in organizational effectiveness and to achieve desired cultural change
- Drive a high-performance culture by challenging management teams to appropriately apply a breadth of performance and development principles and tools and taking ownership of performance of teams
- Managing union relationship under a positive and collaborative sign
- Responsible for the development of people management competence and professionalism within their business management team and with other line managers through coaching or other interventions
- Operate HR governance and communication processes, which encourages a consistent professional approach throughout the business unit
- Promote, maintain and evaluate the utilization of in-house e-learning training program within the business area
- Provide the necessary HR support for business unit changes, considering people implications from the business unit context e.g. restructuring activities
- Drive through organizational changes using best practice project management and communication methodologies
- Facilitate the embedding of change at a business and organizational level
- Ensure the operational fulfilment of core HR services meets business needs
- Work effectively with other appropriate parts of the HR function to achieve this (i.e. Reward, Recruitment, Training and Development, HR Shared Services)
- Contribute and takes responsibility for the shaping of new HR policies and procedures and ensure these are implemented within their business unit
- Ensure business unit acts in accordance with the appropriate employment legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Flexible, adaptable and customer focused, able to build relationships quickly at all levels and thrive in an environment of constant change.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of human resources laws and processes in the Nordic region
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate by written and verbal means at all levels within the organization.
- Able to diplomatically influence at a senior level as an articulate and effective communicator
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a good team player
- Proficiency with various software programs and applications, including E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Windows.
- Degree in Business, HR or equivalent
- At least 5 years hands-on experience in various aspects of the HR functions, preferably within a consultancy or service environment
- Very good knowledge of HR practices and principles, including labor law (individual and collective labour law), payroll issues, social security, benefits and employment regulations for the particular region
- Payroll experience for the respective region would be appreciated
- Union experience. Workers council experience would be a plus
- A good understanding of talent management, development & learning, employee relations and total rewards is needed
- Fluency in English is a must. Finnish, Swedish and/or Danish would be appreciated
- Hands-on and pro-active approach and ability to work without strict guidance
- Experience in driving organizational changes and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to balance company and employee needs, handle confidential information and stressful situations with tact and sensitivity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build up quickly trusted relationship with Management members and employees
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, …)
- The role will be actively involved in HR initiatives/projects.
