Our IBM Partner Ecosystem Marketers are responsible for knowing the Ecosystem across all go-to-market (GTM) motions (Build, Sell, Service), the offerings and the market trends – what’s important to whom and why and how IBM, Business Partners, and the Value-Added-Distributors (VADs) together can uniquely drive the IBM business.The Global Ecosystem Marketing Lead-Distributors is dedicated to leading the marketing strategy and execution of the IBM Distributors globally to drive demand for IBM products, solutions and services built on IBM technology and to increase mindshare of IBM within the Ecosystem. The VAD Marketing Manager develops and aligns Partner & Distributor marketing activities with sales targets, BU marketing objectives and work to always simplify and improve the partner experience with IBM.At IBM, work is more than a job - it's a calling: To build.   • Design, implement, and communicate the Global VAD Marketing go-to-market strategy across each of the priority areas; Demand Generation for Partners, Progressing opportunities in pipeline, New Partner Acquisition/Expansion & Partner Enablement.
  • Collaborate across Geography teams (Americas, APAC, EMEA, Japan) to develop quarterly marketing plans with the Distributors to meet and exceed revenue objectives.
  • Dedicated marketing counterpart to Global VAD Managing Directors to partner and create global programs aligned to Channel Sales business objectives.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to both educate and advise the Distributor on marketing resources (inclusive of Co-Marketing) and best practices as well as bring the voice of the Distributor and Partners back to IBM.
  • Develop Global Marketing programs (both targeted and at scale) to align to IBM strategic priorities, including product-led-growth, AI for Business, and acquiring new clients.
  • Advocate for, influence, and integrate Business Partners into IBM led marketing tactics and events to achieve economies of scale.
  • Utilize data and tools to track global VAD performance and analyze results to optimize campaigns.

  • Experience in the Channel/Ecosystem and background in Marketing.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and within a predefined budget.
  • Ability to understand and communicate business strategy and align marketing execution plans to achieve business goals.
  • Responsible team player demonstrating ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills; the ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels including executive stakeholders.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment that requires collaboration across stakeholders and geographies.
  • Analytical and data driven to deliver key insights on performance and partner satisfaction.
  • Experimentation- working quickly to pilot and operate with a fail- fast mindset.
