- Develops the necessary Mechanical Maintenance work packages including planned Integrity works and/or modifications for all offshore facilities
- Responsible for the fabrication, installation, and/or repair of planned and unplanned ADNOC Offshore mechanical machinery & static facilities.
- Reviews and approves the Mechanical and static works drawings and documents. Ensures that all completed maintenance/ modification/ fabrication/ installation works are carried out according to approved Engineering codes/ standards.
- This position is a critical part of specifying, controlling and implementing the Company mechanical change documentation
- Managing contractors and vendors; and assisting with the design, testing, pre-fabrication installation, and commissioning of Mechanical maintenance packages.
- The Mechanical Engineer is also expected to perform a project engineering role with respect to ADNOC mechanical maintenance scope
- Ensures that all involved personnel involved in the maintenance works adhere to Company’s established safety rules and regulations. Implements HSE program as per company and department objectives/ targets to achieve the division KPI’s. Participates in Contractor’s audits.
- Subject Matter Expert for Mechanical (incl. rotating facilities equipment, static offshore mechanical installations and packages) and Offshore Construction disciplines.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
- Provides input for preparation of the Mechanical Turnaround budgets
- Works with planners to develop detailed maintenance program preparation and execution schedules from a WBS to a L4 Schedule.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or equivalent
- A chartered mechanical, project management certification would be an advantage
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- 10 to 15 years’ experience in mechanical discipline, Brownfield Offshore construction and Mechanical works in Oil & Gas
- Able to display a broad mechanical standards understanding in order to be able to undertake different maintenance programs jobs.
- Broad experience in the offshore Brownfield activities
- Knowledge in Marine operations, Simops and heavy lifts
- Previous experience in Offshore Brownfield EPC works or Turnaround major works
- Familiar with MAXIMO or SAP PM and MS Project or Primavera
- Ability to take complex technical decisions and lead teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter with a professional approach and a technical background
- Motivated individual with the ability to work to deadlines and communicate project progress
