Job DescriptionINCENTIVES ANALYSTThe Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity is currently seeking a skilled Incentives Analyst to assist the Business Recruitment and Expansion Team to administer and manage the State's Economic Development Tax Increment Financing (EDTIF) tax credit program. A successful candidate will be able to source, analyze, prepare and process required information about specific business under review for this tax credit program. Come help businesses and decision makers have the best information to support the relocation and expansion in the State of Utah.Primary Responsibilities:Work with assigned members of the Business Recruitment and Expansion team to assist with the purpose, benefits, and requirements of the EDTIF program to company representatives interested in relocating and expanding in UtahFacilitate the process for an approved businesses to apply for the incentiveCreate and maintain positive communication and relationship to assist the company through the duration of the application, review and approval processAssist members from the Business Recruitment and Expansion team by performing financial analysis and comprehensive due diligence on businesses that have a completed applicationMaintain confidentiality of sensitive informationMaintain project records in salesforce including project updates, contacts, and other relevant information, specifically:Input documents and records into salesforce, including:Sending out applications to companiesInputting new leads, opportunities, contacts, and accountsInputting and updating company dataProcessing and memorizing information for contract creationPrepare and send Incentive Committee and GOEO board meeting materials, including:Maintain meeting memos and foliosCreating powerpoint presentationsPrepare reports such as quarterly Incentives updatesCreating comparable spreadsheetPrepping Recommendation LettersCreating meeting agendasOther Responsibilities:Prepping the conference room for EDTIF meetingsMonitor incentive committee and board meetings to ensure smooth operationProvide ad hoc data analysis and reports to internal and external inquiriesAnnual and periodic reportingIdeal Candidate:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or Computer ScienceWorking knowledge of understanding and managing data, financial information or similar roleStrong understanding of economic concepts and principlesExcellent problem-solving abilities with a strategic and analytical mindsetDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectivelyExperience working in government or public sector environments is a plusPractical knowledge working with Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with Salesforce is highly desirableAbout the Utah Governor's Office of Economic OpportunityUnder Gov.
