We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager of Product Management with a deep understanding of the India market, a proven track record of building a winning product portfolio, and experience in building a world-class product management organization. This position will be responsible for planning, managing, and driving the portfolio of HP PCs, and other related services and solutions specifically targeted towards the India market with the view to also sell into other growing markets with the same needs.ResponsibilitiesMarket Analysis & Strategic Product Portfolio Definition
- Understanding customer, technology, channel, and competitive trends to influence the market.
- Defining a competitive product portfolio consistently with financial goals and strategic initiatives, aiming for the best ROI.
- Creating and proactively updating product definitions from Planning to End of Life (EOL) to deliver winning Product Fit Validation (PFV) and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Ensuring all product-related activities are executed to enable product success, including innovation promotion internally and externally.
- Establishing and driving product strategy and vision for PC solutions, ensuring alignment with company goals, strategic direction, and specific needs of the Indian market.
- Creating incremental or disruptive value propositions and product definitions.
- Selling-in new products to markets, including strategic retailers, and leveraging cross-functional teams to decide product trade-offs.
- Coordinating developmental activities and ramp readiness for successful launches.
- Executing and maximizing Alliance Partner Programs and creating delightful Out of Box Experience (OOBE) in coordination with Design, Planning, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Marketing teams.
- Driving product changes based on market and competition dynamics to maximize performance.
- Optimizing end-user touchpoints to increase brand loyalty and validating product changes requested by Category or Excess and Obsolescence (E&O) teams.
- Overseeing the entire product lifecycle from inception to launch, including market research, competitive analysis, product development, and product marketing.
- Impacts large functions and leads projects requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines or areas of HP.
- Uses managerial concepts and company objectives to resolve highly complex issues in creative and effective ways. May achieve goals through subordinate managers.
