- Develop and implement robust commercial strategies to drive business growth.
- Identify new market opportunities and drive market penetration.
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic business deals.
- Attend relevant trade shows that can require international travel
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
- Monitor performance of commercial activities, reporting directly to senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity.
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve agreed targets.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, legal guidelines and in-house procedures.
- Proven experience in a commercial role within the Shipping/Logistics industry.
- Outstanding sales skills with a knack for negotiation and networking.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to make sound business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to work in their Southampton office a couple of times a week
- A basic salary range of £70,000 per year (but negotiable dependent on experience)
