We currently have an immediate job opening for a:Graduate Project Assistant for a Full-time, two-year position at the Institute for Communications Engineering and RF-SystemsJob Reference Number: 33500-2023-000438Job Duties:
  • Development of concepts for radar systems in the field of monopulse tracking as well as digital beamforming
  • Further development of multi-channel integrated radar systems in the X- and K-band
  • Development of detection methods for UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) using scan radar systems
  • Development of tracking algorithms for UAVs using tracking radar systems
  • Collaboration on interdisciplinary projects within the university and with external partners to promote the state of radar technology
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentation of results at national and international conferences
  • Support in the supervision of bachelor's and master's theses in the field of radar technology
Your Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate must have a completed master's degree in mechatronics, electronics and information technology, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Knowledge in the field of high-frequency technology, ideally radar technology and signal processing
  • Programming skills in Python/Matlab or C++ with experience in the real-time implementation of complex algorithm
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • excellent English skills (English proficiency level C1). German skills are desirable
