An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to join the Children & Families in Tiverton, Devon. Long term contracts with rates of pay from £48.00ph. Excellent transport links to M5. Beautiful area close to the coast and vibrant city of Exeter. Flexible hybrid working arrangements. Accommodation/ travel allowance of £150 offered for those working more than 20 miles from home.Development and a support environment is key to maintaining the high standard of service offered and a competent Team Manager is critical to the key objectives of increasing standards and continuous improvement to the quality of practice to shape a winning team.The successful candidates duties are as follows:·To lead and manage a social work team, whose caseload will include care proceedings, children in need and children in care.
·Allocating and prioritising work.
·Managing staff and undertaking supervision and appraisal in accordance with policy. Managing poor performance within the Human Resources policy and procedural framework.
·Analysing performance information to assist timeliness of assessments, reviews and other formally reported performance.
·Ensuring quality and content of assessments and plans in line with local and national guidance.
·Making decisions and judgements about risk of abuse within agreed management framework.
·Ensuring that permanency planning is in place and includes a range of options that will provide security of attachment and continuity of care.
·Involving service users and carers in planning and designing services
