- Accounting
- Oversee all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any findings or recommendations.
- Reporting and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial analytical reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic initiatives.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.
- Corporate Finance
- Anticipate and conduct financial operations to ensure appropriate balance sheets positions, especially with regards to regulatory equity requirements.
- Cash Flow Management
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs and strategic investments.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash management, including forecasting and risk mitigation.
- Evaluate financing options and manage relationships with financial institutions to secure favorable terms.
- Risk Management
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's assets and interests.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial integrity and prevent fraud.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to anticipate and address potential risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably within SaaS / Financial Services environments.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on fostering a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and achieving business objectives.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong ability to operate in an international environment
- Fluent in Spanish and English, French would be a plus
