- Responsible to maintain Secret level clearance during employment
- Report to and take daily direction from senior A&P mechanic on daily duties and tasks
- Work well within a maintenance and flight crew, good interpersonal skills
- Take initiative on repairs and prioritize flight safety
- Communicate well and work well within a team
- Responsible for performing and supporting the maintenance of aircraft along with the Senior Mechanic
- Perform aircraft maintenance record keeping duties in relation to maintenance performed on aircraft
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and at typically 5 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
- Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines
- Pass and maintain Class 3 Physical requirements, including a hearing test
- FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience
- Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
- Experience working on PT6A Turbo Prop Cessna 208 Caravan experience IA Certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance may be required
- Prior experience within FAA Part 91 operations
This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
