- Provide high-quality nursing care and support to individuals with mental health conditions in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient mental health status, including risk assessments and care planning.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by psychiatrists or healthcare providers.
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to treatment and interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement holistic care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Valid registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Bachelor's degree in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working as an RMN in a psychiatric or mental health setting is preferred.
- Must over 1 years plus paid work experience
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and colleagues.
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Must be a UK resident and have the right to work in the UK
