Come work at the best place to give and receive care!​Job Description:About the Job:The Executive Director, Cardiology Services, leads Elliot Health Systems (EHS) cardiology service lines across multiple sites, with responsibilities inclusive of the development and implementation of system[1]level strategic plans, policies and procedures, and provision of overall administrative direction and coordination for the Elliot Cardiovascular Institute. The Executive Director will have matrix reporting to the SVP Patient Care Services & CNO and The SVP of Medical Affairs & CMO, and a dyad leadership model working in collaboration with Medical Director of Cardiology. The Executive Director will collaborate with system leadership to accomplish strategic objectives for cardiology services and is accountable for providing operational leadership, financial, clinical, business development, care coordination, and standardization of goals for the cardiology service line. The Executive Director is responsible for emphasizing consistency of standards and ensuring clinical and administrative “best practices” are communicated, shared, and implemented throughout the system. Provides strategic planning, direction and executive leadership for the development, growth and advancement of patient centered Cardiovascular Services for EHS.What You’ll Do:
  • Responsible for executive level strategic and business planning of integrated Cardiovascular Services provided across EHS, to include Program and service line development.
  • Implementation, oversight, management and evaluation of Cardiology departments, programs and clinical service lines.
  • Serves as the head of business and administrative operations for all cardiology services inclusive of the physician cardiology practice, cardiovascular procedural areas with related staff, and administrative managers and directors in these areas.
  • Responsibilities include: Strategic direction and goal setting, operational oversight, fiscal and budgetary management, program development, collaboration and coordination of patient care programs with assigned partners, related departments and programs.
  • Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating initiatives around growth, quality & patient safety, patient experience, provider integration, community health initiatives and consistency of practice for the system's cardiovascular Service Line.
  • Fosters provider relationships and ensures all provider activities including patient schedules, clinic operations, patient volumes, and other activities are maximized.
  • Works collaboratively with health system leadership, operational leaders, and external parties to accomplish objectives, facilitate cross-functional teams, and ensure that the service line meets all goals.
  • Oversees resources and space allocations for cardiology services. Oversees the development of capital planning, business development and contracting functions for cardiology services.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent communication and positive working relationships with senior leadership, Medical Director of Cardiology, employees, physicians, colleagues, regulatory agencies, vendors, and the public. Ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality cardiology services and programs that are responsive to the needs of clients, community, and physicians and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in short- and long-term strategic planning and oversees the development and expansion of services and activities. Collaborates with medical staff and administration regarding service expansion, new medical interventions and programs, and physician recruitment.
  • Ensures services are clinically and financially sound and responsive to the changing health care environment locally, regionally, and nationally. Provides leadership to foster new business and pursue new program directions bases on changing trends.
  • Responsible for selecting and maintaining qualified personnel, identifying needs, recommending employee actions, and communicating the progress of plans.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Works under the direction of and collaboration with Senior Leadership to define strategic plans, organizational objectives and goals, implementation plans and measurement tools to monitor successful completion of objectives.
  • Leads service line as a representative of EHS’s core mission, vision and values, demonstrating integrity in the process while accountable for results.
  • Assists in the development of and participates and/or leads division and organizational initiatives as requested.
  • Defines, analyzes, and reviews performance against operating plans.
  • Applies expertise to generate new ideas and concepts in operations and services, which will increase profitability and/or productivity.
  • Leads exceptional customer service and access standards, accountable for quality reporting and continuous improvement plans, and drives efficient operations.
  • Prepares and implements business plans including goals for clinical quality, customer satisfaction, provider alignment, financial performance and operational results.
  • Identifies innovative trends and opportunities related cardiology service delivery and assesses viability for EHS.
Who You Are:
  • Master’s in nursing (MSN), or if Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) held then Master of Business Administration (MBA,) or Masters in Health Administration (MHA.)
  • Active license to practice Nursing in the State of NH
  • 5 years of health care leadership experience
  • Must have strong analytical skills and be creative to plan and accomplish a variety of goals. Excellent teambuilding, written and oral communication skills. Requires strong administrative, management and personnel recruitment skills.
  • Ability to successfully represent organization across The Health System and with external organizations. Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans. Must be results-oriented. Practice servant leadership. Ability to maintain strong working relationships and be adaptable to change. Leads by example and holds self-accountable for assigned responsibilities.
