Company DescriptionWe supervise the island's financial services industry for compliance with both conduct and prudential requirements, and under the anti-money laundering (AML), countering financing of terrorism (CFT), and countering proliferation financing (CPF) framework.The JFSC is one of the few regulators globally to benefit from the Regulator and the entity Registrar operating under a single financial services commission.PositionDivision: Policy, Innovation and Marketing & CommunicationsThree divisional teams work collaboratively to support vision delivery and our strategic objectives:· Marketing & Communications are responsible for effective and engaging brand communications to meet the needs of our broad stakeholder community· Policy ensures domestic laws, regulations and codes align with global standards· Innovation is a facilitator of technology adoption both inside and outside of the JFSC, supporting growth of Fintech, Regtech and Suptech.Team: Marketing and CommunicationsOur team delivers a blend of strategic and tactical marketing and communications activity. We are directly involved with positioning the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) as a high performing, effective regulator both locally and internationally.Role: Senior Marketing and Communications Lead (35 Hours per week / Fixed Term Contract)The role is dynamic and calls for a flexible and proactive approach. The JFSC is at a key stage in its development, as it seeks to play an enhanced role in the continued success of Jersey as a highly regarded international financial centre.Our Senior Marketing and Communications Leads work collaboratively to deliver business goals with specific areas of operational focus and responsibility:· Delivery of effective marketing and communications activity within agreed processes, SLAs and measures that matter for quality, timeliness, efficiency and to budget:o Marketing and communications inform and engage our stakeholder community.o Content is published consistently across all channels, including our most recent press releases, statements, publications, policies, guidance, and events.· Being well informed and proactively assessing opportunities and threats through research, and active media monitoring· Delivery of a programme of outreach and engagement events that is well researched, planned, publicised, and delivered.· Active involvement in identifying, recommending, and implementing continuous improvements to ensure digital marketing and our assets remain effective, relevant, and progressive, using a data driven approach.The successful candidate will deliver the following outcomes:· A high performing team who are effective, engaged, agile and who support the delivery of our vision and strategic objectives.· Actively implement a marketing and communications plan that enables the delivery of our three-year organisational strategy and enhances our reputation.· Delivery of the creation and curation of marketing assets and collateral that resonate with our stakeholder community and support our strategic aims.· Effectively guiding internal stakeholders with advice on communications matters, including core messaging / key issues.· Effective budget control and value for money from our agency / supplier relationships· Effective supplier management that ensures we have the right capabilities to deliver our strategic plan.You will add value to the organisation by:· Supporting the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Executive team and the wider MarComms team, to deliver our strategic goals, deputising as required.· Building your exposure to external agencies, trade bodies and stakeholder groups gaining valuable insights into the different sectors that make up our finance industry.· Providing strong engagement and clear communications to enhance and protect our brand, both locally and internationally.· Actively coach and develop colleagues within the team, to ensure we have the right expertise and contribute more widely to cross functional teams.· Actively deliver the ongoing performance management of team members to ensure a consistently high standard of output.What will success in this role look like?· As a leader within the Marketing and Communications team, you will introduce new and innovative ideas that raise the bar of our processes and delivery. Your expertise ensures we consistently communicate effectively, with an open and approachable tone of voice, tailored to the needs of the audience.· You continually strive to improve our delivery and make measurable changes to boost the effectiveness of our reach and engagement. Our operational effectiveness is measured through our delivery against agreed objectives and agile plan, stakeholder feedback/sentiment, research findings, and our team's wellbeing.RequirementsThis role will suit an experienced marketing and communications professional with leadership qualities who has an eye for detail, creative flair, enjoys taking responsibility, and working flexibly in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
