Site Manager - Richards BayFull job descriptionJob Title: Site ManagerJob Summary:The site manager is responsible for the overall management of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They oversee all aspects of the construction site, including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing resources and personnel.Responsibilities:Plan and manage construction projects from inception to completion.Develop project schedules, timelines, and budgets in coordination with project stakeholders.Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.Monitor progress and performance on the construction site, making adjustments as necessary to ensure project objectives are met.Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues or risks.Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities.Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress reports, and change orders.Address any conflicts or disputes that arise during the construction process.Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets project specifications.Foster a culture of safety on the construction site, enforcing safety protocols and procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field (preferred).Proven experience as a site manager or construction project manager.Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials.Familiarity with construction management software and tools.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.Certification in construction management or project management (preferred).Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to construction sites as required.Physical Requirements:Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.Physical fitness and stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.This job description provides a general overview of the responsibilities, qualifications, and requirements for a site manager position.
