- Manage and lead a team of software developers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, business analysts, and quality assurance to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Develop and implement software development processes and best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in insurance software development.
- Plan and prioritize projects, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and make strategic decisions to ensure project success.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in software development, with at least 8-12 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in software development technologies and frameworks such as Java, .NET, Python, etc.
- Experience in the insurance industry or related financial services sector is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, AgilePM) is an advantage.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with individuals of all levels including executive level
