We leverage cutting-edge technology to streamline our underwriting and business processes, enhance customer experience, and drive business growth. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director Software Development Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, project management, and a deep understanding of the insurance domain.Essential Functions:
  • Manage and lead a team of software developers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, business analysts, and quality assurance to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement software development processes and best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in insurance software development.
  • Plan and prioritize projects, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and make strategic decisions to ensure project success.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors.
  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in software development, with at least 8-12 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development technologies and frameworks such as Java, .NET, Python, etc.
  • Experience in the insurance industry or related financial services sector is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, AgilePM) is an advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience interacting with individuals of all levels including executive level
