Job Title: Key Stage 2 Teaching AssistantLocation: Ashford, KentPay: Competeitive Daily Rate and flexible earning through PAYEJob Description: As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal development of students aged 7 to 11. Working closely with the class teacher, you will assist in delivering engaging lessons, providing individualized support, and fostering a positive learning environment.Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering dynamic and interactive lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage 2 students.
  • Provide one-to-one assistance to pupils, including those with additional educational needs, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in the planning and organization of classroom activities, resources, and displays.
  • Supervise students during lessons, break times, and extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of individualized learning plans.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff members to create a supportive and inclusive school community.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, would be advantageous.
