Role overviewIntroduction to the role:The role of the Records Management supervisor is to oversee and ensure the highest level of service is being delivered by our Records Management team, who are responsible for the day to day management of physical files and central filing locations in UK offices, and managing services with our external archiving service suppliers.Key responsibilities:
  • Supervise and line manage the Record’s Management team across all of our locations.
  • Undertake Records tasks and activities as a member of the Records team.
  • Support management in Records related projects.
  • Travel to other offices where necessary.
  • Support management with monthly team activity and financial reporting.
  • Monitoring team performance and organising team daily duties and workloads.
  • First point of contact for team related queries.
  • First point of escalation for FE teams.
What are we looking for:
  • Experience of office administration (preferably in a professional services or regulated environment)
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstratable experience in managing a small team
  • Willingness to travel
  • Excellent IT skills, specifically in MS Excel and having a knowledge of a range of software packages.
  • Proactively seeks solutions to problems that may arise, and the ability to deal with issues independently and effectively
  • Flexibility in approach
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence and develop relationships across the business
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve productivity targets set
  • Understanding of confidentiality and security of files and business information
  • Working with files as assets
  • Familiarity with stock or asset control databases
