The role of Senior Sous Chef:
  • Oversee and manage the kitchen and team in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Helping to manage busy services, ensuring that all company standards are maintained.
  • All aspects of kitchen management including ordering of stock, stock control, people management and development, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Working as part of a professional team within a highly organised, well-equipped kitchen
  • Being an integral part of the wider restaurant management team
  • Contributing ideas towards seasonal changing menus and weekly specials.
We're looking for a Senior Sous Chef who has:
  • Previous managerial experience as a Senior Sous Chef within a similar standard hospitality environment.
  • Proficient experience leading a large brigade in a high-volume Central London restaurant.
  • Excellent knowledge of classical French cooking techniques as well as in-depth product knowledge.
  • Proficient and knowledgeable on all Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Exposure to back-office procedures including stock control and payroll management would be beneficial.
  • A track record of people development.
  • Can communicate effectively with all departments in the spirit of the company values.
  • Has the right to work in the UK.
  • Level 3 food safety
  • Worked with Fourth BOH systems.
  • Has been a rota writer.
  • Trained and developed their team.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications are advantageous.
