- A completed or nearly completed PhD (conferred no later than two years ago) in systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related discipline, with a focus on operations and supply chain management; or a completed Master's degree in operations research, applied mathematics, data science, computer science engineering, artificial intelligence, or information technology, coupled with a strong interest in operations and supply chain management.
- A growing track record of research and publishing in highly ranked journals in operations, manufacturing, business, or supply chains research (FT50, ideally also ABDC: A* potential).
- A demonstrated background in the use of modelling, qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with an ability to communicate effectively with supervisors
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work well independently and as a member of a broader team, including with industrial partners, in a technical environment for effective delivery of team outcomes.
- A commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience in supervising graduate or undergraduate students.
- A demonstrated aptitude to engage collaboratively with industry partners and other external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of optimisation solvers and proficiency in machine learning algorithms and their practical implementation in Python.
- A completed PhD (preferably conferred no later than three years ago) in a relevant discipline.
- A demonstrated aptitude to engage collaboratively with industry partners and other external stakeholders.
- Displayed evidence in writing and securing externally funded research grants (e.g. Category 1, ARC, or Category 3, Industry, or similar international schemes if an international candidate).
