[What the role is]MANAGER / DEPUTY MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER, RAIL REGULATION[What you will be working on]The Rail Regulation Division is responsible for the regulation of rail operators’ licences, codes of practice and operational safety as well as monitoring the performance of rail operators in operating and maintaining Singapore’s Rapid Transit Systems (MRT & LRT). You will be part of a dynamic team directly involved in ensuring safe and reliable train services on MRT and LRT.As a key member of the dynamic team, you will be directly involved in:
a) Monitoring of rail operators’ performance in areas of operation, maintenance and safety, through review of regulatory submissions by the operators, the conduct of audits and inspections and implementing initiatives and programmes to ensure that the commuters’ safety and travelling experience are safeguarded.
b) Conduct of regulatory investigations on rail incidents;
c) Rail emergency exercises conducted by LTA and the rail operators as well as rail operations impact analysis for planned and unplanned service disruptions.[What we are looking for]
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering
  • At least 2 years of working experience, preferably in the railway industry
  • Highly adaptable team player who is able to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to engage and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, astute, meticulous and resourceful
  • Good time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication (both oral and written) as well as presentation skills
  • Has knowledge in performing risk assessments, emergency planning, maintenance methodology and operation planning
  • Familiarity with international safety standards such as ISO 450001, relevant local railway and building regulations, codes and standards will be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Candidates with leadership skills and strong relevant years of experience will be considered for senior roles
