Job descriptionPE Teacher (Maternity)Prospero Teaching are working closely with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated 11-16 Secondary on the edge of the New Forest.The School are looking to appoint a passionate and hardworking PE teacher to join them for a maternity cover starting April 2024.You will be teaching Physical Education across the age and ability range and the role may also include delivering GCSE theory and practical lessons.The position is being advertised for two terms and potentially longer. This is open to experienced teachers as well as those newly qualified.Contract details for PE Teacher:

Experience, training and qualification:
  • PGCE, QTS, ETC (equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
  • Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.
  • The ability to grow individual personal development.
  • Be caring, patient and have good communication skills.
  • Be self-reflective, have a willingness to learn and demonstrate initiative.
  • Experience supporting an individual with Autism.
  • Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.
  • Complete a face-to-face registration with our Southampton office.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
