A Day in Your Life at MKS: (Summary & Objectives)MKS is hiring an IT Project Specialist to support functional and divisional projects. Reporting to the Business Technology Leader, this position works through and with available resources to ensure accurate and timely project deliverables. As IT Project Support Specialist you will be a vital part of the IT team as you work with project teams to deliver value to the business. As a key contributor on the Business Technology Group team, you will assist in planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting out on various aspects of projects, including progress, developments, and forecasts. Throughout the project lifecycle you will communicate with stakeholders on their projects, assist with resource planning and project deliverables management to meet objectives.You Will Make an Impact Through: (Responsibilities)Project Support:
  • Assist with project lifecycle from intake, planning, scheduling, monitoring, reporting, to closing.
  • Capture/assist with creation and update project plans and supporting documentation with tasks, notes, reporting, analysis, and other assignments as needed.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the business to ensure the success of assigned projects.
  • Monitor various aspects of assigned projects, including progress and status reporting for assigned projects.
  • Identify, communicate, and support appropriate addressing of project questions, inquiries, and risks and issues, offering guidance and scheduling meetings as necessary to ensure items are addressed in a timely way.
  • Lead team sprint planning exercises for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with IT Project Management Office to continuously improve project delivery methods.
Skills You Bring: (Required Skills)
  • Associates degree in business administration, computer science, or related field
  • 1-2 years of direct experience in project coordination or related experience
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills appropriate to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in cross-functional team settings and across time zones
  • Ability to adapt responsibly to shifting priorities, demands and timelines based on evolving conditions
  • Ability to work productively with ambiguity and conflicting requirements
  • Proficiency in various project management and productivity software, such as Microsoft Office365/M365, MS Project, Jira, etc.
  • Ability to proactively learn and synthesize information to resolve problems and improve
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of various project management structures and techniques as appropriate for project size and risk including agile and waterfall
  • Knowledge of the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge, SAFe, Prince and related areas
  • Experience with Service Now, Jira or other project-specific tracking tools
  • Language required: Fluent in English
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working in a multi-national high-tech company
  • Ability to help identify, and support facilitation and negotiation of stakeholder disagreements to reach effective compromises
  • Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM®) or related credential
Supervisory Scope:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, etc.
  • Position can be hybrid – 3 days in office required, 2 days remote or fully onsite
