Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £45,000
Location: Canary Wharf
Rota: Days Monday to FridayLead Engineer with an Electrically Biased Multi Skilled background for a prestigious Financial Company based in Canary Wharf, London, E14. The candidate will be highly motivated, self-sufficient, highly skilled and possess confidence, with an ambitious outlook and willingness to succeed.   • To carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
  • Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
  • To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the Electrical & Mechanical aspects of the PPM and plant.
  • To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Electrically & Mechanically related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
  • Carry out technical surveys of the above services and systems, reporting findings to the Supervisor.
  • To co-ordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client. Dealing with customer enquiries and complaints, reporting actions taken to line management.
  • Undertake follow up actions required to resolve situational circumstances for which you have been authorised to undertake.
  • Be an active participant in reviewing existing and implementing new techniques to enhance the service to our clients.
  • Electrical & Mechanical fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
  • Carry out minor installation work to the above services and systems.
  • Repair and maintenance of lighting and distribution systems.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with company procedures and the clients’ requirements to fulfil contractual obligations.
  • In conjunction with other team members and other locations, establish contingency measures to ensure full services are available during periods of absence. Providing cover where necessary at other sites within a reasonable distance.
  • Undertake any training that may be required to fulfil duties.
  • Maintain test equipment and tools associated with your role, ensuring they are fit for purpose at all times.
  • To comply with any and all instructions given by Supervisor. Undertaking any other duties as reasonably requested, which are within your competence and experience.
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognized equivalent.
  • City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
  • C&G Parts 1 & 2 Mechanical qualification
  • ACOP L8 training for water systems maintenance
  • Prior experience of Building Management Systems.
  • Previous work experience in a business-critical environments.
  • PASMA/IPAF certified.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels both orally and using IT platforms.
  • Experience in computer PPM management systems.
  • Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
  • Supervisory experience for future development.
  • Proactive approach.
  • Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.
