Operational Risk and Control Analyst | S2 | SCIB London BranchCountry: United KingdomJoin our community.The Santander Commercial & Investment Banking- London Branch (SCIB - SLB) seeks a very experienced Operational Risk Professional to join the First Line of Defence (FLOD) of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) with clearly demonstrable knowledge of all programme components.The role is focused on the execution of the Operational Risk programme to include Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA’s), Metrics, Operational Risk Event reporting, Scenarios, Control Testing, and the tracking of any remediating actions.The difference you’ll make:
  • Supporting development of management reporting
  • Building your business knowledge of SLB to enable effective challenge and to support the business in the management of operational risk
  • Building excellent working relationships with Line 2 Op Risk colleagues in SLB and Madrid
  • Taking responsibility to develop own potential through improving own skills and effectiveness
What you’ll bring:
  • Experience or knowledge in a regulated Wholesale financial services context, preferably within a tier 1 Investment Banking/ Wholesale Banking organisation
  • Working knowledge and experience of operational risk management preferably within the 1st line of defence
It would also be nice for you to have:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Basel Operational Risk principles
  • Experience in automating operational risk processes and innovating around data highly desirable
  • Able to manipulate interrogate multiple sources of data and translate into meaningful business insight
