Offer DescriptionThe Rector of the Krakow University of Economicshereby announces a vacancy competition forthe full-time position of associate professor “professor uczelni”in the group of research and teaching employeesin the discipline of philosophyat the Department of Philosophyof the Institute of Politology, Sociology and Philosophyof the College of Public Economy and AdministrationMain tasks:1) conducting academic classes in Polish and English, participation in the education of doctoral students,2) participation in the development of scientific staff,3) conducting mono- and interdisciplinary scientific research within national and international grants,4) elaboration and publication of research results,5) applying for external sources of research funding, participation in the implementation of the conference and other events popularizing the science,6) participation in the organization of conferences and other events popularizing science,7) organisational activities supporting and benefiting the Department and the University,8) implementation of tasks and duties entrusted by superiors.Requirements for the candidates:The position may be applied for by the candidates fulfil requirements set forth in the in Article 113 and 116 Law on Higher Education and Science Act (consolidated text Dz.U. - a good command of the Polish language to the extent allowing to teach classes in Polish,4) experience and participation in teaching activities (conducting teaching classes in the field of philosophy and ethics, minimum 7 years of work experience at a university as an academic teacher, educating students and doctoral students),5) experience and significant achievements in scientific activities (e.g. publications, grants, participation in conferences and internships in Poland/foreign, awards for scientific activities),6) experience and significant organizational achievements (e.g. organization of events popularizing science such as scientific conferences, scientific seminars, participation in editorial teams, awards for organizational activities),7) description of the concept of further scientific development,8) in the case of employment, submitting the employee's statement on conducting scientific activity in the discipline of philosophy and culture and religion studies,9) in the case of employment, submitting the employee's declaration of consent to crediting to employees conducting scientific activity (number N) at the Krakow University of Economics (KUE).Specific RequirementsRequired documents:1) a cover letter (an application letter) addressed to the Rector and a resume (CV) taking into account professional work,2) a personal data questionnaire for the person applying for employment*,3) copies of academic degrees and titles (for documents issued in languages other than Polish, also a certified translation of the document into Polish and a certificate of equivalence of the diploma with the Polish equivalent - if applicable),4) a list of possible practical experience, including training, internships and scholarships,5) a copy of the employment certificate or a certificate confirming the length of service in the position of an academic teacher,6) a list of accomplishments, information and possible opinions on:a) scientific interests,b) teaching experience and achievements,c) experience and publication achievements,d) participation in events popularizing science, such as scientific conferences, scientific seminars, as well as participation in scientific and research projects,7) a declaration or a copy of a certificate confirming good command of English language; for foreigners, also a declaration or a copy of a certificate confirming good command of the Polish language,8) a declaration that upon the commencement of employment, the Krakow University of Economics will be the principal employer of the Candidate*,9) a declaration as to the Candidate meeting the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science*,10) a declaration of the candidate on the statement authorizing to be classified as employees conducting scientific activity (the so-called N number) and on the statement on the field and scientific discipline, which she/he will represent in the event of her/his employment in KUE*,11) a declaration on the lack of personal relationship based on Article 118 of the Law on Higher Education and Science*,12) information on processing personal data during the recruitment process -
