McCarthy Stone are looking for a Relief Duty Manager to be part of the team at their Amelia Court retirement living development in Worthing, West Sussex.Managerial experience is preferred, the ideal candidate will have experience of deputising for Managers, comfortable using computer systems & able to use their own initiative.Base Salary: £13.56 per hour day rate and £11.44 sleeping night rate per hour plus additional pay (see below)Hours: to be decided (includes day and night shifts)Shifts: days 8am-4pm, twilight is 4pm-9pm and nights are 9pm-8am.Our Bank Duty Managers sleep between 23:00pm and 07:00am providing emergency support only to our homeowners throughout that period.McCarthy Stone have a wealth of support and benefits for their staff.   • Deputising for the Estate Manager for the estate management functions.
  • Responding to emergency situations.
  • Leading and co-ordinating the Assisted Living support staff working within the development in providing services which can respond flexibly to the needs of the homeowners.
  • Ensuring staff rotas are effectively covered.
  • Ensure the building is clean and well-presented at all times.
  • Expected to discharge all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to enhance the quality of Assisted Living home owners’ lives in retirement.

  • You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual.
  • Keen to take on the responsibility of managing the security of the development, looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners.
  • Able to co-ordinate and facilitate activities that help strengthen the community spirit within the development.
  • Driven to continue to grow their skills and will want to lead by example and think on their feet.
  • Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
  • You will be computer literate with experience of using Microsoft Office and quick to pick up new skills and programmes when training is given.
