We are looking for a Java developer responsible for building Java applications for Business Intelligence dashboards. This includes anything between complex groups of back-end services and their client-end (desktop and mobile) counterparts. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY Design and develop applications: This is the main responsibility. The focus will be on creating applications that meet the needs of the business. Coordinate with the team: This involves working with the rest of the team who are working on different layers of the infrastructure. Coordination and teamwork are key. Engage and coordinate with the U.S. and India BI development team: Active engagement and coordination with the BI development teams in the U.S. and India are required. Support Java technical questions or issues: Be ready to provide support for any Java technical questions or issues as they arise. Commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality: A strong commitment to these areas is essential for the role. Work closely with other BI Developers and Quality Analysts: The successful candidate will need to work closely with other BI Developers and Quality Analysts to ensure the business requirements for Java developers are met or exceeded. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Work experience as a Senior Java Developer or similar role Experience designing, building and testing Java EE applications In-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) Good delegation and time management skills Problem-solving abilities Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 7+ years of experience (sweet spot, but flexible) Majority of experience should be with Java Most recent experience should be with Java Spring framework (Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Web, Spring Boot) XML - parsing, binding, transformations JSON parsing, binding, transformations Web services (Rest/SOAP, Rest preferred) Relation Database Oracle / MySQL Good communication skills Attitude to learn and work in a collaborative environment Experience in Javascript, jQuery, HTML, CSS Experience in Java Struts framework Experience in/with Microsoft SQL and IBM Cognos is a plus.
