Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Shift Manager/ Regional Maintenance Manager you will:
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across all plant equipment, making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest standards and regulatory requirements.
- Focus on continuous improvement to maximise plant efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with regulatory standards for safety, health, and the environment.
- Undertake root cause analysis of all issues to eliminate defects.
- Support junior members of the team, as well as supervising contractors.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline.
- Engineering experience in a heavy engineering or process environment.
- Proven experience in maintenance, particularly with fault finding on complex plant equipment.
- Electrical knowledge is ideal.
- A suitable health and safety qualification (IOSH etc) is highly desirable.
- Predominantly biased mechanically with a proven mechanical background, electrical knowledge would also be idea.
- Hands on knowledge of equipment in a process/ manufacturing environment, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to use Computer Maintenance Systems (CMMS).
- Salary of £45,990 + 10% bonus.
- 4 on 4 off rotation (2 days, 2 nights).
