Process Development Engineers – Manufacturer of PCB's – Tamworth/Telford – Perm – start rate Competitive Salary (Please quote desired rate when applying) + Benefits including EAP, Life cover – x3 salary, Pension 3ee+5er, uniform, training and more on offerThis leading Engineering business produces circuit boards for a multitude of technology sectors including aerospace, space, military, communications and performance automotive to highlight a few.Main Role Responsibilities:The Process Development Engineer role is vital, your ability to identify variations in process via statistical data and analysis will ensure the complete manufacturing process removes variance and risks, improving product quality. Your abilities using DMAIC techniques will be evident in your career to date, adding process controls to ensure that variations do not return and that quality is consistent will be instinctive to you. If you enjoy fast moving, constantly advancing and technologically driven sectors then, this could be the role and the environment for you.Day to Day outlookOn a day to day basis you will help the production team to carry out and understand their role in this technical production environment. You will help them minimise issues and find solutions, to understand and align reliability and capabilities to achieve the desired results. The vital work you carry out will help ensure quality, cost and delivery of final solutions are of the highest standards in an exciting and ever developing technology markets.Further role responsibilities would show:-Working with the Production Team leads to ensure compliance of expected standards and policies.
To help ensure customer satisfaction is maintained and enhanced at all times.
Ensure that all processes under your jurisdiction fall within current 14001 guidelines.
Continually strive for process improvements and minimise costs.
Own risk assessments for areas under your responsibility are written, implemented and reviewed.
Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors within your control comply with site procedures.
Ensure all remakes are investigated, understood and actions implemented to prevent reoccurrence.
Improve manufacturing yield within the areas of your responsibility.
Ensure HS&E policies are respected and rules are adhered to within your departments/responsibility.
To help ensure customer satisfaction is maintained and enhanced at all times.Your Skills and Requirements:
  • A prior background carrying out process modelling, analysis and using associated tools
  • Experience of mapping process software -preferably Engage (or within Visio or BPMN Tooling)
  • A detailed work ethic, with ability to spot trends and patterns in unrelated areas
  • An effective manager of multiple projects, having a clear view of the sequencing of work
  • Clear and confident communication skills to engage stakeholders & influencers
  • SIX Sigma qualified, Green belt or above ideally
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment - as part of a project team delivering project outcomes
  • Working with other business areas such as the Digital team
  • It is anticipated that the successful candidate will hold relevant Prince qualification or similar
  • Relevant qualification & experience from a related role/environment, possibly Green Belt status
