Harvest Cellar Technician | Abeja Inn and Vineyards (Seasonal)Abeja is a one-of-a-kind destination for those seeking a truly special wine country experience. Located in Walla Walla on a serene 38-acres of estate vineyards, lavender fields and gardens, Abeja is a celebrated winery and distinctive Inn that creates a magical countryside oasis. Visitors will experience exclusive world-class Washington state wines, all crafted with care from the land, while staying in guest cottages that each share a different story about the rich history of the turn-of-the-century farmstead. The Abeja experience is created by people who are devoted to a continued pursuit of what they do best and an endless drive to do even better for wine enthusiasts and guests of The Inn.The Harvest Lab and Cellar Technician position is a fantastic opportunity to get training and experience working in wine production from harvest through fermentation. We are looking for applicants that are excited about all aspects of harvest and able to be a positive member of the team. What you’ll do:
The Brass Tacks
  • Daily cleaning of winery and crush equipment, tanks and barrels.
  • Cap management-punch downs and pump-overs.
  • Barrel sanitation, hydration, and filling.
  • Racking wine from tank or barrel.
  • Completing accurate additions to wine.
The Nitty Gritty
  • Helps maintain a fun, safe, and inclusive work environment.
  • Previous experience, exposure, or interest in wine production.
  • Ability to work occasional long hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working with ladders.
  • Forklift experience is always a bonus.
  • Previous harvest experience is a bonus but not required.
  • Ability to work well with a team or autonomously.
  • Ability to prioritize work efficiently.
