Our client has an opportunity available for a Senior Manager: Strategy and Architecture based in Pretoria.Requirements:
  • Minimum NQF level 7 Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
  • Certifications in ITIL, TOGAF, and SDLC.
  • 10+ years' experience in information technology and business with 5 years of strong proven leadership capabilities across all areas of the IT environment or management structure.
  • Exposure and experience in Agile Development methodologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Apply architecture principles and practices to guide the organisation through the business, information, process, and technology changes necessary to execute on their strategies.
  • Lead and plan the development of innovation capabilities and implementation of innovation processes, tools and frameworks.
  • Develop organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for business process improvement.
  • Lead the creation and review of a systems capability strategy that meets the strategic requirements of the business.
  • Develop and present business cases, for high-level initiatives, approval, funding and prioritisation.
  • Ensure alignment to strategic architecture through the establishment and management of appropriate and relevant architecture forums.
  • Plan and lead the identification and assessment of new and emerging technologies and the evaluation of the potential impacts, threats and opportunities.
  • Lead the development of architectures for complex solutions, ensuring consistency with the specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers.
  • Ensure that appropriate standards are adhered to.
  • Outline performance measurement objectives and the high-level implementation approach.
  • Champion the value of new ways of working to address internal and external opportunities and threats arising from changes in technology, society and business models.
  • Scan the environment to ensure a clear understanding of stakeholder needs.
  • Build strong, collaborative and value-adding relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Advise executive management on strategies as they pertain to this functional area.
  • Manage service level agreements.
  • Contribute to transformation or culture plans.
  • Manage resources effectively and efficiently to comply with budget requirements.
  • Ensure that research projects are delivered within the allocated budget.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures
