Do you enjoy looking after babies?A fabulous role has become available in St Albans, Hertfordshire. This professional family is extremely friendly, as well as active, enjoying music, the gym and cooking. You will be looking after wonderful three-month-old twin boys, so baby experience is essential.Mum is currently on maternity leave, returning to work next year. While Mum is at home, this will be a shared care role supporting Mum, but will change to a sole charge role when her maternity leave ends in January 2025. At this point the hours will also increase to full time, Monday-Friday.Initially, the hours will be 09.00-18.00, four days per week (36 hours/week). The position could also work as a three day role (27 hours/week). The days to be worked for both options are flexible and to be mutually agreed.Flexibility in this role is a must. While on maternity leave, Mum will occasionally leave both children with you, or she will take just one child to gain quality time with each of them. There may also be times when you all do something together. The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help them to hit their various developmental milestones - with lots of educational and stimulating indoor fun (reading stories, singing songs, sensory play, etc) mixed with plenty of outside play and walks to the park.As they get older, the parents would like the children to attend play dates and groups to allow them to mix with other children, always ensuring their safety and happiness. As they employ a cleaner, this role will require nursery duties only, but some help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated - emptying the dishwasher, making sure all rooms are tidy at the end of the day, etc.As well as general care of the children and keeping all areas the children use clean and tidy (kitchen, bedrooms, children's bathroom, playroom etc), the nursery duties will include keeping on top of the children's laundry. You will also help make up bottles and as the babies grow, progress to providing the children with three healthy and nutritious meals each day (home cooked as often as possible). These meals are to be blended if required (age appropriate) with plenty made in advance and frozen for the parents to use for the babies at the weekends. Knowledge of weaning and potty training is essential. You must be a careful and confident driver with your own fully insured car and a clean licence. Duty mileage will be paid. For the first few months, it is unlikely that you will need to be driving the children, as they will be based in the home.If you are a kind and loving nanny, this is a wonderful role and would suit someone who is happy to make a long-term commitment.Location of the job: St Albans, Hertfordshire
