Biological Monitoring CoordinatorRPS are seeking a highly competent Biological Monitoring Coordinator to join our Occupational Health team in Ellesmere Port. This is a full time, permanent position with the opportunity for hybrid working once trained.The main remit for the Biological Monitoring Coordinator will be the collection, collation and initial analysis/action of urinary and blood Lead monitoring results i.e. you will be the Responsible Person for Lead biomonitoring and will liaise closely with the on-site health safety team and under the supervision of an Appointed Doctor.The successful candidate will have a strong background in bioscience and experience or knowledge necessary to effectively assist with the implementation and management of a complex biological monitoring as part of a comprehensive health surveillance programme.Who we are:Join RPS Occupational Health, a dynamic workplace that prioritizes employee support and development.   • Arrange and schedule tests for employees participating in the biological monitoring programme.
  • Receive and collate test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter results into the occupational health management database for evaluation and interpretation by a clinician.
  • Liaise with the employer regarding any agreed actions arising from test results.
  • Ensure early and appropriate interventions, such as reviewing risk assessments, controls, and employee training/education, based on test results.
Who we're looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in bioscience, biology, or related field.
  • Previous experience in biological monitoring or health surveillance programmes preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with both employees and employers.
  • Proficiency in data entry and management using occupational health management databases.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and best practices in occupational health and safety.
